How we test our products
The Lifeina bags are tested at an ambient temperature of 24,2°C, which is the temperature found in airplanes. At this ambient temperature, they will keep your medication between 2 and 8°C for 12, 24 or 36 hours, depending on the model chosen. Please note that if you are using the iCool bags at a higher ambient temperature than 24,2°C, they will not last as long as announced.
The Lifeina isothermal bags – new freedom for patients
A few years ago, Lifeina started developing solutions for the transport of fragile medications so that those suffering from chronic diseases such as diabetes, polyarthritis or multiple sclerosis could travel with their medication. Two brothers in France started the business after their medication was frozen in a hotel by accident. There are millions of people worldwide who are prisoners of their medication. Lifeina has become their partner with solutions that help them to travel while knowing that their medication is kept at exactly the right temperature.
The Lifeina solutions are numerous and range from the simple isothermic bag to solutions for the pharmaceutical industry to transport fragile compounds. For people that are using Anti-TNF medications for polyarthritis or any other fragile medication, Lifeina has developed the Lifeina range of bags that keep medication between 2 and 8°C for 12, 24 or 36 hours.
A simple innovation that radically changes the performance of a product
The Liffeina bags are padded with isolating materials in which are placed frozen gel packs. The Lifeina Gel Pack is made with a specially formulated polymer that stays frozen twice as long as a traditional pack and that does not “sweat” while unfreezing. This innovation, while appearing minor, allow Lifeina to keep the medication between 2 and 8 °C for up to 36 hours, which is a record for this kind of bag.
The Lifeina bags are discreet and elegant and allow the users to make long plane trips in complete security. For the new generations of iCool bags, a team of engineers worked with a team of patients to rethink traditional solutions for the transport of fragile medication. “As a daily user of thermo sensitive medications, I was systematically disappointed by the many products I bought through the traditional networks. It was for me obvious that the people who designed the bags were not themselves users of medication and did not understand my constraints. So we went back to the drawing board and redesigned the bags so that they would be perfect for us. The Lifeina bags are designed by patients for patients,” says Dr Diegel, one of the two brothers who founded Lifeina.

Nice ad-hoc solution for short trips
I also have the LifeinaBox little fridge, which is great, but for short trips I just prefer using this little bag because it is so easy to use, especially on an airplane. Nice products overall.
