Multiple Sclerosis Travel Kit
A complete kit for traveling with Multiple Sclerosis
Traveling with MS is sometimes more difficult than with other pathologies, especially in hot countries, because heat can cause a temporary worsening of symptoms (the Uhthoff phenomenon). But having MS does not mean that you cannot go on holiday. With a bit of careful planing you can go just about anywhere.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system. It causes lesions that cause motor, sensory and cognitive disturbances. At more or less long term, these disorders can progress to an irreversible disability. Current treatments can reduce exacerbations and improve quality of life for patients, but are still insufficient in efficacy to fight against the disease’s progression.
However, having MS does not mean that you cannot take holidays or travel. Today, you can travel just about anywhere, any time, with a bit of preparation. At the same time, know your limits and try to avoid lengthy and physically exhausting journeys. Ideally, make stops during your journey to recover from stress and tiredness.
The Lifeina complete MS travel kit includes :
- LifeinaBox, the world's smallest fridge, for you to put your Copaxone, Avonex, or any other MS medication when in the hotel
- LifeinaBag24, an isothermal bag that keeps your medication between 2 and 8°C for 24 hours, for when you take the plane
- MedActiv's EasyBag Classic, an isothermal bag that keeps your daily medication between 16 and 25°C. Working with just fresh water, the EasyBag Classic is for when you take daily excursions and need to take your medication with you
- A copy of Uwe Diegel's Guide to Traveling with Multiple Sclerosis

It's the best
I have always been a daredevil. I love to do stuff that is different. I love to travel. My favorite city in the world is Rome, and I have really explored every nook and cranny of that lovely city. I have multiple sclerosis, have had it for about 5 years now, but I haven’t let that slow me down. I am a bit more careful about going out when it is really hot, but overall I am coping just fine. Especially that I am using LifeinaBox to transport my Copaxone and that it is always at the right temperature.
