Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system. It causes lesions that cause motor, sensory and cognitive disturbances. At more or less long term, these disorders can progress to an irreversible disability. Current treatments can reduce exacerbations and improve quality of life for patients, but are still insufficient in efficacy to fight against the disease’s progression.
However, having MS does not mean that you cannot take holidays or travel. Today, you can travel just about anywhere, any time, with a bit of preparation. At the same time, know your limits and try to avoid lengthy and physically exhausting journeys. Ideally, make stops during your journey to recover from stress and tiredness.

It's the best
I have always been a daredevil. I love to do stuff that is different. I love to travel. My favorite city in the world is Rome, and I have really explored every nook and cranny of that lovely city. I have multiple sclerosis, have had it for about 5 years now, but I haven’t let that slow me down. I am a bit more careful about going out when it is really hot, but overall I am coping just fine.
